I’m speaking this thursday (16th) as part of London Mets ‘Rip It Up & Start Again‘ series. Details below:
Short Stories about the city by Dann Jessen, Julian Lewis and Judith Loesing from East and Sam Jacob from FAT Architecture
In this double header, East and Sam from FAT will tell short stories about doing architecture in public. It also presents two significant architecture practices which have very different answers to similar questions. The projects that emerge from this thinking might be diverse, but we hope to discover what they have in common.
East will talk about the tension between the social and cultural context of projects and architectural authorship through six projects. Sam will reply with an account of four FAT projects that use narrative as a means of constructing publicness.
